She sat there, holding her staff to her, eyes gazing out against the horizon. Towards the city with the loud voices, the automatons, the gang members that she killed with her power. The city where she finally became infected with the Beast's mirror shards... Artemis ran from the fate for much too long, and it was only inevitable that the Beast would catch her. Here, in this universe. Away from home...
"Athentha..." Artemis bit her lip as her gaze drifted down to the top of the large dragon's head that she sat upon. She dug through her thoughts, trying to find the good she knew about the world that wasn't Aether. "...Athentha is a simple place, a wartorn yet simple land led by a beautiful princess. There is so much to see, so much to do." Her fingers curled tighter around the staff then as she thought of the humans who were only concerned with pursuing immortality, among other business ventures, exotic eyes shimmering.
"Humanity takes the land for granted, ravaging it for resources for an ore that the Princess promised could...save...everyone," Artemis explained solemnly. She faced the younger dragon, a grave expression washing over her. "She wasn't much help to the land after she believed the lies she was told...that's why we're here, in Aether."

Darhill sat there and listened to this woman's story. He thought it was one that was supposed to be sad but he wasn't exactly one to understand other's plights. Still it really sounded like she was missing her home. Darhill sighed it sounded like this woman was hiding from a dark past... and it wasn't like he wasn't himself was hiding from memories of a dark sort.
"It sounds like your trouble is in humans. They are awful creatures, but there is something even worse than they are. God's... they are the worst of the worst and as benevolent as they may act they sea any mortal race as their plaything. If they cared about the world they'd destroy humans and if they cared about humans they'd sacrifice their everything to make sure they could live on for the future so we could live on for the future, but no... they sit in their sky thrones judging us doing nothing to save the greater good. Perhaps their were once good gods in this world, but they already sacrificed themselves and now with the current actions of humans why would they even want to help us now? Maybe it is that man has surpassed gods and that there is no hope."
He realized that he was getting way sidetracked and way off subject. He sighed as he tilted his head.
"I'm sorry I'm getting a little off subject your home, seems nice and simple. Kinda like this one."

"It sounds like your trouble is in humans. They are awful creatures, but there is something even worse than they are. God's... they are the worst of the worst and as benevolent as they may act they sea any mortal race as their plaything." Well, there was a statement that really hit home for Artemis. Where she was from the mortal royalty treated their lesser classed beings as play things. Kidnapping them for inhumane science experiments, performing ritualistic procedures on them in pursuit of perfection, as if the Athenthians were nothing more than worms. Artemis knew her history well of Athentha, of the Demon King Miach and his daughter Rin. One was a Hellion king in the burning council, and when he was destroyed... "Gods...the lot of them...I hate them..."
"If they cared about the world they'd destroy humans and if they cared about humans they'd sacrifice their everything to make sure they could live on for the future so we could live on for the future, but no... they sit in their sky thrones judging us doing nothing to save the greater good," the young dragon continued. "Perhaps their were once good gods in this world, but they already sacrificed themselves and now with the current actions of humans why would they even want to help us now? Maybe it is that man has surpassed gods and that there is no hope."
A deeply rooted philosophy coming from such a juvenile being... Artemis stood up, still facing the horizon. The city was, well... The city needed a cleansing of some kind. Maybe The Beast was right. Maybe it was time to forge a path that separated the wheat from the chaff. Universe Aether was not their home, but they could sure as hell make it into their home. At least until the tear back to Athentha opened...
"I'm sorry I'm getting a little off subject your home, seems nice and simple. Kinda like this one." Artemis only smiled slightly. Pain gripped her entire being, and her body trembled as she fell to a knee, gritting her teeth. The shards that slipped their way through her skin simply from the Beast's touch felt as though they were digging crudely into every fiber of her mortal coil. You could see it already begin to form on her flesh, thin purple lines drawing their way like mad road maps under the surface of her skin. She shook her head as she whipped a hand straight to her forehead, growling softly in pain like a feral being. She was anything but feral.
"This place is the exact opposite of simple," Artemis muttered. "This world...this is not my home...you couldn't understand..."

Darhill was about to comment on Artemis' point, but then there was a faint pressure. Looking around he couldn't see anything, but it kept get stronger and stronger as if the whole sky was falling down and compressing over and over again. It didn't take too long for the air to become too hard to inhale. Then the sky became dark, chunks of... something were falling from it. Darhill and Grandahr stood there in shock in awe before the bombardment powerful enough to level the area. They came down and right before they hit the ground they stoped and landed gently. Amongst the smoke a wolf arose... Xylex. He looked around and saw the giant dragon, it's kid, and the female... elf?
"Well shit that's a big... big, big dragon."
Within a blink of an eye metal engulfed and coated his feat and then faster than anyone could see he kept forth and hovered at the dragon's eye level. The sonic boom then was heard. Then with a single kick Grandahr was sent flying, luckily for Darhill he grabbed Artemis. Grandahr landed with a heavy thud hurt but not seriously injured. Xylex sighed in boredom.
"I'd at least think you'd put up more of a fight."
He turned to face the other two with an almost twisted grin.
"Are either of you two worth fighting?"
