Grandahr sluggishly waddled to the to lake. So many creatures jumped around in shock as the earth shook violently. He really had no real drive to get to the lake he just wanted a change in scenery. The forest behind his path had been flatened, dragging his body over it. Darhill flew circles around his father before landing on his head.
"Dad why are we going to the crummy lake?"
Grandahr sighed.
"Son because our last place was boring. The world is a big place and we would be wasting it not trying to see it all."
Darhill shrugged before falling over on his back to look up at the sky. It was really peaceful other than the fact that his father's footsteps made a loud bang every so often. Then they were at the lake and Grandahr came over to lap up some water. Hopefully he didn't attract too much attention.

Artemis pulled her massive cloak around her tightly as she strayed the woods like a lost puppy, her purple-white bangs shagging in her orange-pink swirled eyes. It was a while since she last saw the Beast, or anyone else from the Red Blood Moon Children. As a matter of fact, were there any other Atenthians in this world besides herself and Lady Rin? Were there other tears that led to here from Athentha? So many questions, so little knowledge from Artemis' part. She only knew one thing: she was hopelessly lost.
She let out an audible sigh, more like a pouty whimper, as she fell to her knees and slammed a fist to the ground. Curse this cloudy day, curse this dirty forest, and curse whatever flattened those trees in her path...and that massive trench of dirt...what was this? Artemis furrowed her brow as she observed the billowed out ground, the even trench and the down foliage. What could have caused this destruction so carelessly?
"Beings in this world are just as inconsiderate," she huffed as she rose to her feet and followed the path. She didn't have to look for very long over the horizon at what it was; even though it was several thousand yards from where she stood, Artemis could see it, a massive scaly beast hunched over. She squeaked slightly, body trembling as she could only conclude that it was a dragon of sorts. Just a massive...possibly hungry...prone-to-destruction dragon.
"They do exist in this world," Artemis whispered to herself, her body threatening to seize up with every step she took, getting closer to the massive beast. "And I thought they were just legend in Aether. I thought they were exiled by the Youroh...Youroh..pea-ans." What a strange word, Yourohpea-ans. What was a Yourohpea-an, anyway? An Aetherian of some kind?

Grandahr heard something from behind him as a dragon he had exceptional hearing. For a moment he got down on his rear legs and lifted the front side of his body off the ground. He was like a dog begging. He placed his forepaws on his belly and used his rear legs to slowly turn around. There in the distance he saw a spec it appeared humanoid. His stomach growled and he licked his chops.
"Son daddy is hungry. See them over there? Come fly them to daddy's mouth."
His son simply got up and flew off. He was used to doing things like this for his father. It didn't take him long to grab the woman and dangle her through the skies. She seemed too paralyzed with fear to move away. Thanks to his beastial strength things like this were easy. He approached his father who was still sitting upright rubbing his belly in anticipation of a tasty snack. His mouth opened and his tongue rolled out.
"That a boy! God job!"
Darhill smiled, happy that his father praised him for his hard work. He then slowly started slowing down lowering the woman to her doom.

Artemis crept down the bowed-in path, her eyes on the large dragon, her body tensed and ready to leap should it attack. A draft of wind from above billowed her robes outward, and the next thing she knew, she was lifted into the air by...something. But what was it?! She let out a shriek, struggling to free herself from the being's grasp, and her eye's widened as she was brought closer to the large dragon. This creature was intent on eating her!
"What are you--?!" she squeaked. "Put me down! I didn't do anything! I--I--"
She could feel a sudden warmth course through her body then, her aura suddenly acting up. Artemis struggled, trying to wrestle free of the dragon's grasp before suddenly, her aura let loose in a gigantic explosion, powerful enough to push the strongest of grips off her form.

Darhill's grasp was broken violently in a sudden explosion. He flew over and crashed into his father's face and the woman instead of plummeting to her doom fell onto the cushioning stomach of the massive beast. Grandahr didn't notice this, and that made the woman all the luckier. Darhill whimpered in pain for some of his bones had been broken. Grandahr looked at this and freaked out in a massive panic. He released a roar that used his force and all around him was in a near instant turned into a crater. Then fire shot forth from his massive maw directly upwards and then it came down turning the crater into lava.
"Damn woman I hope she burns a thousand times over for this."
He exhaled through his nose which released a cloud of smoke. He then gently cupped his child in his paws and breathed green light over him. A green glow enveloped the child and then he got right up as if nothing was wrong with him.
"I'm sorry son. Daddy let you get hurt."
Darhill took a moment to stretch before answering. He seemed to be not the least bit phased.
"Don't worry about it. I'm not in any serious pain anymore and besides... I wouldn't be helping you if I didn't know the risks."
Grandahr smiled at his child's brave words as he lied down on his side. He yawned for he was sleepy after a long journey there. It didn't take him long to collapse and fall asleep for in his mind he was sure that the woman was roasted, but that couldn't be any further from the truth. She was safe on the surface of the giant dragon, but also trapped in a crater made of molten rock. She could not leave without wings of her own. Darhill on the other hand was still wide awake and he was in more of a explorative mood. He crawled across the surface of his father unable to really get firm footing on a surface that had so much give. He wasn't too far away from where the woman was and he was getting closer.

Artemis had bounced casually off the large being's stomach, letting out a yelp of shock as she fell towards the ground. In the next moment, a loud roar exerted forth from the dragon's great throat, the sound waves alone sending trees, pieces of earth and large stones flying in a large circle, as well as Artemis, sending her tumbling a handful of yards away from the two beings. Damn, she was light! The one time her small frame and weight saved her, it was from this. The ground around the massive dragon bowed in further as a result, with Artemis at the outside edge of the large crater, hair and robes whipping about from the sonic boom of the roar. She had gone deaf for a few moments.
She brought a hand up to shield her eyes and head as she lifted her head up to watch in horror and awe a massive ball of fire being shot from the great beast. It came down suddenly, melting the ground into a pool of lava. Must have been extremely hot to pull that off...Artemis had seen nothing like this back in her homeland. Aetherian beings were such a strange breed, and now she wanted to join the Beast, Lady Sakimura, and go home. She rather had dealt with the Beast for a thousand more Athenthian Years than these dragons for another minute.
Her luck had turned in her favor, considering the large dragon's sound waves shot her beyond the limits of the boiling crater. Most beings would grab on for dear life at the inner circle just at the dragon's feet before realizing they were surrounded by a pool of molten lava, beholden now only to their eventual fate of being smashed by the large dragon, or tortured and dunked in the lava lake by the smaller one. She pushed herself up, dusting herself off before pulling from beneath her robes her staff. Her whole body shook as she stood at the outer edge of the crater, her mind wandering through several thousand possibilities of where to go and how to get there. Was she alone out here? Was she at the mercy of these dragons? She needed help. A sign. Something.
There was no smaller dragon coming at her, at least not for the moment. The ground at her feet started to crumble, and Artemis leaped away in time as the chunks of rock fell into the molten sea below in thick splashes. Surely, there had to have been something out in this direction that could pick up on these high energy readings? There were small organizations back in Athentha that worked with stuff exactly like this. What if Aetherians just...didn't care?
Her staff began to glow as Artemis gripped it tightly, her eyes on the large dragon.

Darhill walked to the area that the woman was expected to be... nothing, she was not there. Perhaps she was obliterated by a deadly wave of fire either that or she got away. Perhaps Darhill would have an answer to that question sooner than one would expect for looking into the distance he saw her figure. He rubbed his eyes just to make sure it was her... not gone, yep it was her. He could have gone to wake his father, but something told him it would take the arrival of at least an army to wake him up. Then again this woman was probably more skilled and powerful than he was, but his curiosity was peaked. He flew over to her and landed in a tree right next to her he could tell that she was a make of sorts from the staff she was now tightly gripping. The fact that she did so while looking at her father made him think that she'd try to attack his father.
"Your spells won't do you too much good. My father's hide can let him shrug off shots from a tank."
He hanged upside down from the tree and looked at her like she was only some sort of mere toy to him, even though she was considerably stronger than him. Backing the little Darhill up was his behemoth of a father. All it would take to call his backup to his side could all be as simple as a whimper.
"Why are you even here? You don't seem like the type that's merely here just for surviving. I can tell you're a bit too strong to merely just survive that is unless you don't have a purpose."
He hadn't even seen her do anything yet but just by looking at her he got a gage of her strength. An intuition gained by watching his father slay thousands.

Artemis peered up in the direction of the small dragon, hiding high in the trees. She loosened the grip on her staff, the only sound now the boiling of the magma pool just several feet below the edge, searing the earth. She knew full well what lack of effect her spells would have on the gigantic dragon snoozing in the middle of its lava Jacuzzi. Artemis used to read about dragons all the time. They were only a myth in Athentha, but Aetherian dragons surely existed.
"Why are you even here? You don't seem like the type that's merely here just for surviving. I can tell you're a bit too strong to merely just survive that is unless you don't have a purpose."
The being sounded young, she surmised upon listening closer to this second statement, too young to really be considered an experienced dragon. The aura swirling and roiling off her staff soon disappeared and she let it hang loosely at her side. Artemis sighed then, staring into the thick lava solemnly. Whoever this dragon was, he certainly asked a question that hit home for her. What reason did she have for being here? All Artemis knew was...
"...the tear." She blinked and turned back up to the dragon child that sat in the tree branches far above. "I escaped through the tear into this strange land," she called up to the whelp. "The...I...I don't know what I'm doing here, all I know is...I needed to escape the Beast before she..." She sighed before pressing a finger to her forehead. She could feel an odd sensation running through her system like a new bloodstream. Something from that night in River City seemed to catch up with her then. The Beast's constant gripping of her forearm, never letting her go, constantly looming over her. Sneering, leering, never disappearing. Was her purpose just food for the Beast? Food for the Children?
"Tell me," Artemis called up before she allowed her thoughts to consume her and push her into a fit of panic and depression, "are you...Aetherian?"
All she knew of this world was its overall name, its label from a group of Athenthian researchers who spent their time studying parallel universes. Universe Aether. All beings within, Aetherians.

Darhill looked st the woman with a confused look. He had absolutely no idea what she just asked him.
"I have no idea what your talking about. I was born here around 24,000 years ago if that's what you mean."
That information sounded preposterous, but he was part dragon and dragons were basically immortal. Though in terms of biology he was equivalent to the human age of 12. He took a lot after his father physically, but not mentally. He didn't gorge himself without end. Still this woman did hurt him, maybe for once he could devour someone, but that wouldn't be easy. He wasn't very strong and eating someone so much bigger than him wouldn't be an easy task. Still one day he hopped he'd grow big like his father and be able to punish those around him.
"Well I don't know what exactly you're here from so I'm assuming. You're trying to readjust to a... sudden change."
Just then Grandahr woke up abruptly. He slowly got to his feet and then looked around. A moment of silence occurred and then his stomach growled. He licked his chops and opened up his mouth in the direction of the trees to his side. Then using his force things flew into his mouth like a vacuum. Trees, animals, rocks, and dirt he didn't seem to be very picky. Darhill sighed for he knew his father would be busy for quite a while.
"Don't worry he won't us. He's a bit too preoccupied with the way he's facing... I could however bring you to him and maybe he could eat you, but I don't actually see a reason why. You'd never fill up a being of his size. I'm doubtful you'd even make a dent. Still you did hurt me, perhaps you'd be willing to do a few things for me in order for me not to turn you in."
He flew over to her side.
"Then again I really don't have anything I'd like you to do. Maybe I could eat you... nah who am I kidding I'd have a stomach ache for weeks."

Artemis' eyes widened at the gargantuan being that was the young dragon's father, using a vacuum-like suction to eat everything in the direction it was facing. Plantlife, animal-life, the very ground was being sucked through a vortex of wind and down the being's gullet. She had never seen anything so hungry in her life! Well...except maybe the Beast and its insatiable appetite for human blood.
"Then again I really don't have anything I'd like you to do. Maybe I could eat you... nah who am I kidding I'd have a stomach ache for weeks," the young dragon said as it flew up to stand next to her. Artemis flinched and jumped away, almost falling over the edge of the crater. Arms flailing, she desperately reoriented her stance to avoid a fiery bath. Artemis gave the young being a dirty look, gripping her staff tight as she stepped away from the crater's edge.
"I won't be a slave to either you or that huge thing over there," she said curtly, wlaking past the creature with her nose in the air. "I just want a means to go back home to my universe. Back to Athentha." She stopped then, eyes opening while her nose was still turned up. Her brain was performing some calculations for a moment before she finally furrowed her brow and lowered her head. How did she intend on doing that, anyway?
"Do...you Aetherians know if there's a group in this universe that studied the multiverse?" Artemis asked sheepishly, turning around and blushing as her eyes stared at the few pebbles that were gathered at her feet on the ground.

Darhill was getting annoyed at this woman's questions. Why would he know something like that? Then again while he had never heard of such a group there was a being that he knew if that was capable of preciving and interacting with such things.
"Well I'm not certain about a group, but there is possibly a machine that is capable of transcending what you would call a multiverse. I'm kinda fuzzy on the details but it is capable of transcending space and time. Though I'm not sure if it'll even help you."
Darhill scratched his head. He had little idea why this woman would even be asking him questions. Wasn't she scared out of her mind? Perhaps the hope and thought of a way back to her world was something too tempting to resist.
"Don't think you can just ignore me. You'll die if you try to run away. DAAAAD!"
Darhill made a tight hold on Artemis and didn't let go. Suddenly Grandahr stopped what he was doing and tuned to face his child and... that woman. Grandahr was skilled with using his aura and was even capable of doing some things that weren't a form of breath. He suddenly inverted his force power inwards all over his body and the two were pulled towards his chest. They crashed into the soft surface and the earth near where his stomach touched the ground was pulled onto it making a shell of lava. Darhill slowly stood up. It was like there was gravity in play but much stronger so he quickly collapsed to his knees. Grandahr released smoke from his nostrils in his rage.
"Ahh so you're the vile woman from earlier and you're alive. I must congratulate you on that, but I must warn you... you're going to wish you were dead by the time I'm done with you."

Artemis was suddenly grabbed, and before she could unleash a second shockwave of power she felt an abrupt rush of gravity all around her, pulling her and the dragon child...in the direction behind her! She was quickly plopped flat on the ground right...no, this wasn't a ground, this was a soft belly. A soft surface of the larger being that was a huger dragon. Smoke fumed form its nostrils, Artemis soon recognizing as a sign of anger or pensiveness among dragons, and the being spoke to her, "Ahh so you're the vile woman from earlier and you're alive. I must congratulate you on that, but I must warn you... you're going to wish you were dead by the time I'm done with you."
Artemis gripped her staff tightly as she tried to stand up, pulling herself away from Darhill and holding her staff out in front of him, glaring at him as a challenge to try holding her again. She had enough of being forcefully gripped by beings in the last twenty-four hours. Facing up at the being, she shouted, "And what gain do you seek from killing me? I've done nothing to you, nothing at all, and yet you wish to eat me and every living being here in sight! Your son does not know how to handle a woman so he grabs her?!" Her staff began to glow a bright orange, the energy from her body sending her robes and shoulder-length hair rippling in several directions. "Maybe you should teach your child how to better treat females of other species before you go making empty threats!" Artemis shouted. She suddenly winced, the pain bringing her down on one knee as she could feel sharp pains tingling all throughout her body. The aura that surrounded her soon shifted from bright orange to a dark purple; if she were swallowed now, maybe a being of this size could have indigestion from the pain she was feeling...wait a minute...
The Beast...
Lady Rinoa Sakimura constantly gripped her forearm last night, sending powerful energies into Artemis' very aura-stream. She managed to find a way to corrupt Artemis' energy without drinking her blood? Her normally vibrant orange-pink swirled eyes switched to a sullen dull purple-pink, and her lavender/off-white hair lost its life. She slowly rose up, trying not to succumb to the powerful corruption that Lady Sakimura placed within her last night. Yet...if ever the Beast found herself in a situation such as this...
She would devour them, no matter their size, no matter their age...
A fanged grin crossed her normally porcelain face, and Artemis' shoulders shuddered in vile laughter. Her usually cheerful, if not shy, voice became distorted, like a combination of her own and the Beast's. Whatever was happening to her, she needed it to happen right now. "So what if you want to kill me," she said, not knowing her own words. And yet, she knew exactly what she was saying. "If you eat me now, the Mirror shards will corrupt you as well. So, who truly dies? Me, the carrier of the Mirror? Or you, the next vessel?"

Grandahr sighed as he moved his right forepaw off the ground. He moved over to his chest and gently squeezed Artemis between its fingers and moved her up to his eye level. He gave her a blank stare showing he felt no fear in her threat.
"Eating you would be a fate too kind. No... you'll haft to do some tasks for me. Say no... and I'll crush you into a singularity."
He was dead serious. He was more than capable of using his powers to implode this young woman. He then opened up his mouth and tossed her in it, but he did not swallow. No... that would be something that'd harm the both of them.
"First I'm gonna want you to clean my teeth. Just really floss out my gums their getting gross."
Stuck between his gums were, rocks, branches, and... bones. His breath wasn't too pleasant either, it smelled of death and decay. Then he dropped his inwards pull and the shell of lava fell right off. Darhill quickly flew up and perched himself on his father's head. Grandahr was being extra careful not to swallow Artemis. He didn't want to end up whatever she had's vessel. Darhill on the other hand was kinda depressed the woman had insulted him. Perhaps he didn't know how to interact with people well, but then again people didn't know how to interact well with him. He could not forget nor forgive that one time.... It was painful to even think about it. A tear rolled down his eye as he quickly tried to take his mind off it.

The being was truly testing Artemis' patience, but at least it did not harm her. She found herself tossed directly into its massive maw, its breath stinking like a rancid blood orgy. The woman stood on its tongue, eying the huge dental work that it possessed. Between much of its sharp teeth were tree branches, carcasses of animals of many kinds, among other types of debris. Artemis sighed audibly, rolling her eyes. She'd rather deal with the Beast grabbing her very body at this point. That sounded more pleasant than being some large dragon's slave.
"I'll clean your teeth, but you'll do well to make this your only favor," Artemis told the large dragon from its mouth. "Not unless you wish to become the Beast's next vessel." With that, she focused her energy into her staff, the weapon glowing brilliantly against the nasty backdrop of the dragon's inner mouth. Artemis pointed the tip towards one of the back teeth and began shooting a massive elemental beam in between each tooth, evaporating the debris with every blast. She could feel the shards digging deeper into her flesh, like thousands of tiny lightning bolts striking her very bones.
No, Artemis was not going to serve the likes of a smelly dragon or its child...

Grandahr practically purred when his teeth were being cleaned. He was enjoying it so much that he completely forgot about the hatred he had for the woman doing the job. In fact he lied down on his stomach and was the very idea of a docile pet.
"Thanks I really needed that."
Then he felt it... he could feel Artemis' pain. He actually felt sorry for her and it appeared she was suffering from being the vessel of whatever she was holding. He would not harbor that burden for her, but he would lighten the load. Soon a green haze came forth from his throats and covered Artemis. It would not hurt her no instead this was his life element. It made her glow faintly and while not being able to remove whatever it was that she was carrying it did lessen her pain, like morphine. He then realized he appeared to be soft and immediately defended himself.
"Don't think I care about you or anything.... It's just that you're more useful to me alive."
He then stuck out his tongue and grabbed her again with his paw. He gently placed her on his head next to Darhill who was just getting over his little episode. He was confused about why his father just made the woman stop, Grandahr himself didn't really understand it. He went over to the woman keeping a cautious distance. He was curious about her.
"I'm sorry for asking, but... what's it like where you're from?"
