1678AY, 6 August Ebony-Yahera, Athentha Tuesday, 10:00A.M
Rain. It was falling once more in the land of Athentha. A land that hardly anyone knew. But it was here that things were in dire straits. The umbral moon was soon to show it's face and in that time a new Demon King would be crowned. It was here that the choice would have to be made. And the people of the land would suffer regardless.
The knights of Dragoon, Pluto, Zodiac and Neptune gathered. The small group known as the resistance led now by Absolon showed it's face here as well. Along with the Yellow Leaf Brigade. Everyone gathered, trying to raise a voice against the one who wanted to tear them asunder.
The half breed princess known as Rin.
Heaven cried her tears now as they all stood there. Asbel, leader of the Pluto knights, held a book written by H.H. Dylan. A book about the history of the land and of the legends now lost in time to Athentha and it's sister islands. His stoic look showing his disdain for the events that now transgressed. How he wanted to finish this war. Finish the girl and make sure she could never darken their door step again.
"We are at a disadvantage against the girl." Ambrosia said as she stood there. "In my battles against the half breed, she has used tactics not known to any of us. And if we knew where the shaman was--"
"We try to kill her either way! Forget trying to find the shaman. Her bloodshed ends today!" Yelled Asbel. "I'm tired of watching innocent blood be spilt because the princess has decided to go against the land she wanted to save."
Ambrosia sighed. Asbel was going to be difficult. And the loss of Dragon's knight captain had hit him hard. Ambrosia could see that in his eyes. She knew the two were close. And when Zenith was turned he swore to destroy the half breed.
The rain fell heavier as thunder roared in the distance, lightning accompanying it by dancing across the sky. The group of knights needed to form a plan. But what could they do against the princess? She was immortal. And sealing her was futile. For she would awake in two decades to begin her havoc again.
"I may be of some help," came the voice of the first seed, "Of course I don't think you'll want it. I, of course, come for my own need. I do not care what happens to any of you. But if you want a chance against the girl, you might listen to me."
"Garnet..." Growled Asbel. "Your help isn't help."
Garnet grinned as he saw the knight commander scowl at him. It was funny to see the man still sore from their last encounter. Ambrosia looked at the first seed. He had many times to Rin, and he could be useful. But to what extent? The knight didn't Kno but she nodded to the first seed. Without the Solstice Temple and the shaman what choice did they have?
Asbel threw the historian's book at the first seed and went back into the crowd of knights. He was displeased that Ambrosia wanted help from the organization's own seed.

Ambrosia watched the confrontation. And though she wanted the help, she knew the Knight and the first seed had to work together. They all did. Athentha didn't have time to fall apart among it's people. Garnet grasped the book between his left index and middle fingers. Asbel seemed to not trust the first seed. Garnet wondered why. He was not the threat here. Not at the moment anyways.
Pushing the frame of his glasses up the bridge of his nose, his cold eerie golden yellow eyes glancing towards the book. It was bound in leather and frayed. Yet, it held something within. Something, just maybe something, could be brought forth to fight the beast.
"Garnet, do we even have a chance?" Ambrosia asked then. Her voice full of fear. "Can we even trust you? What if this fails? If we fail?"
"Then God help us." Garnet replied as he placed the book into his bag. "If what I have planned doesn't work, then Athentha and it's sister islands are doomed. You can't trust me. But I'm all you have. We have a chance, if some people will stop being stubborn and childish."
Asbel heard this from where he was standing and huffed. By the first seed's words, he felt they were doing nothing here. That they would fall either way. There was no option. The knight felt like this was a trap. The seeds were things made by the children, a part of them. How could Garnet be trusted? Was it because he had feelings for Rin?
Ambrosia shook her head. They needed a plan. And this bickering wasn't getting anyone anywhere. She had horrible meetings with the half breed, almost corrupted by her magi. She knew that it was time to stand up against Rin. And to free the people she enslaved.
"We need to find the shaman. Kogal will know of how to kill the half breed. I wouldn't suggest it if I had another option." Ambrosia said. "Every time she revives she has no memory. But she always regains it. Always turns to the darkness. If we want a safe Athentha, it is time to kill her."
"It's a lost cause." Garnet replied as he walked past the knights. "I have a better plan. I will find the shaman while you two think of a plan. And something smart. I can't be doing all the work."
With that he walked towards Sol-Morwenna. Garnet would should his plan in time, but first he had a meeting with the shaman. He wouldn't let these knights kill the princess. Not after all the work he did of making her a seed.

Foolish. They're all being foolish. Yet, I feel that something is coming. That they have a plan. A plan to squash what I have planned. Well, how cowardly.
Garnet thought as he made his way to the airship dock. The ride would bring him to Sol-Morwenna. And how, deep within, the blue sand covered desert he would find the shaman that Rin had hidden. Yet, he knew the Lyonesse were at a disadvantage due to their temple falling. Their main defense against the Athenthian armies torn asunder by the half breed. It was amazing to the first seed. He hadn't seen such terror from the girl in any of her other rebirths.
The first seed sighed though. His thoughts returning to the year. It was almost time for the Umbral moon to appear, the new year of the Demon King to be crowned. And with this, Rin had to pick her path. Garnet shook his head. Looking down at the crumbles black rose thorn crown in his hands.
"It's going to be a blood bath you know." Came the familiar voice of the second seed, Vanilla. "They have labeled us the enemy, made us the wrong doers in all this. They don't care if we help or not, we are branded as evil."
"You worry too much my dear Vanilla. I have noticed the changes of the key players. And of the beast--" he paused before shaking the blue strands from his face once more. "I know what the elders think. Sending their meager knights to fight a monster. They plan on the knights failing. Crumbling to the might of the beast."
Vanilla tilted her head. Garnet was being cryptic again. She hated that. She knew well that he and Rin shared a past. That she was there when he made her a seed. Yet she felt an ominous feeling that he wanted to save the princess because of his true feelings. And the torch she held for the first seed meant nothing.
It did but she didn't know that.
"The elders are involved?" Vanilla asked then.
"Yes, still trying to show the world that the princess must die. That their word is the only law. And so we head to Sol-Morwenna to find the truth. It is then we can plan against the ones that desire us to remain opposed."
Still cryptic the words that came from Garnet. Vanilla sighed as they boarded the airship. It was time to find out the truth. Even the children never explained anything to the seeds. And he had to change that. It was to destroy their core. The core of the children and the elders. As the airship took off, it made a stuttering noise as the two took a seat in the dining part.
The war could not be stopped. Garnet knew now. The evidence was too strong to show otherwise. He looked down at the crown again as Vanilla eyed it.
"Do you love her still?" Vanilla asked boldly.
Garnet didn't reply. He remained silent staring at the crown. Miach wanted so much to bring forth a legend. Yet, he had destroyed so many lives in the process. How could this remain if there was no option left?
Sighing he closed his eyes ignoring Vanilla for a moment. She glared at this, annoyed he didn't answer her and stood up. Garnet looked up to see her upset. He didn't understand. Was he losing his mind?

"Sir, would you like a drink?" Asked the waitress to the first seed. "Sir?"
Garnet opened his eyes to see the woman there. A human upon the airship wasn't that uncommon to see. However it was less common to see one near Athentha. Garnet stared at the woman for a moment, knowing that the race had started the second role of events that destroyed the island. The first was the Demon King Miach.
"No, thank you." He replied coldly.
The waitress nodded and walked off. He placed the cool alabaster left hand to his head as he sighed. For everything he knew about business, he was lost when it came to matters of the world. Emotions, thoughts, feelings were difficult to him. He didn't understand them as much as anyone else would. It hindered him in some ways. Garnet sat there going over and over again why Vanilla would be so upset.
She came along as always. And the second seed knew his intentions upon the organization. It wasn't like he was keeping anything from him. And their relationship was plutonic at best. He just didn't get it. And though Garnet wanted to go and see if she was okay, he didn't get up. Didn't move from his seat. Vanilla would be fine wouldn't she?
The first seed leaned back into his seat as he pushed up the frame of his glasses upon the bridge of his nose. How he wondered why the islands chose now for war. The timing couldn't be any less worse. Lyonesse was weakened, Talia was trying to recoup from the cults and Rowan was building some kind of technology to combat the beast.
All were going to fail.
--------
Vanilla placed her hands on the rail of the airship. Taking in a small breath of air, she sighed. Garnet didn't get it. He cared so much of saving the princess and a dying organization that he couldn't see that the second seed had feelings for him. He was bad at this. She shook her head. Why didn't he come to see if she was okay?
"You know he's an idiot." Came the voice of the fifth seed. "He may be good at business but other than that he's a fool. And he's too arrogant to see that."
"Go away Platinum." Vanilla hissed. "You do know nobody likes you or your insanity. I still don't get how you became a seed in the first place. And I don't care what you have to say."
Platinum smiled as he sat on the rail to stare at the second seed. Her insults were terrible today. And even though he was Garnet's left hand, he still talked bad about the first seed. He didn't care either way. However he could tell that she was bothered by something he did. Though one would wonder how he learned of the trip to Sol-Morwenna in the first place.
"Well, that might be true. Only because I'm good at my job. And I don't let my feelings get in the way. But I can see you're not happy about something. Did Garnet turn you away again to do this alone? I swear that is all he's been thinking about lately. That's why-- Hey wait come back!"
Vanilla turned on her heel and left the fifth seed sitting there. Her face red with fury at the mention of the half breed. It couldn't be the only reason they were going to the desert. Annoyed more than mad she decided to head to her room upon the airship.
Platinum sat there tilting his head as the first seed came out to see what the commotion was about. Most of the passengers complaining about a seed bothering them. His cold eerie golden eyes glaring at the platinum haired man. Platinum smiling the cheshire cat like grin.
"You really know how to make a scene don't you? We are suppose to be doing this quietly and you're making a ruckus. How the hell are we suppose to get a leg up on the girl if you're screaming our location? And what did you say to Vanilla? I've never seen her that mad."
"Well I thought I've liven up our guests. They didn't take it well when I made the man kiss a woman in front of his wife." Platinum laughed. "And we will get a leg up, see?" He lifted his left leg up at Garnet before placing it back down. "Relax old man, we will be fine. Vanilla however still doesn't understand you want the princess and not her. Wink wink."
Garnet tilted his head not sure what he meant. "What on Earth do you mean?" He wasn't in the mood for games. They had a mission to do and not to fool around. "Get to the point you blattering idiot."
"Well if you can't figure it out I am not going to tell you. See you later boss man."
Platinum then walked away leaving the first seed standing there utterly confused about what the hell just happened.

Garnet stood there still as the fifth seed left. He sighed rubbing his temple as the airship continued it's shuttering trip to Sol-Morwenna. He didn't understand any of this and the two weren't helping. But he didn't need them at the moment. His plan was going according to plan.
With Vanilla not in the way to get harmed and the fifth seed making a scene, it could help in a bigger way. The first seed wanted the princess to pick her path, become the next Demon King. As he looked down at the crown again in his hand he shook his head. How could he force this to play out in his favor?
Garnet made his way towards the rooms, as he needed to figure out what to do next. Platinum being here did hatch a thorn in his plan. The fifth seed wasn't stable as everyone could see. Placing his alabaster hand to the door, he smiled so sadistically to himself.
The knights that wanted to save Athentha and please the elders would fail. His act to them played out perfectly and they thought the first seed was on their side. Wanting to help the elders remain in power. That was not the case. Garnet would crush them, corrupt the knights within their order and bring forth a dark age.
Platinum watched the first seed enter his room and followed. He wanted to bother Garnet as their ride wouldn't arrive at the desert for quite some time. And Garnet would probably set up another meeting once they reached the hot desert sands.
"So we are going with that?" Asked Platinum as he appeared in the first seed's room. Garnet sneering at him. "You sure that will work? I mean the soldiers and knights won't really like you turning their slaves to our side."
"It will be too late when they figure out our true intentions and goals." Garnet said as he looked at the fifth seed. "Their knights will crumble into seeds. And then the elders will falter underneath."
Platinum raised an eyebrow. This was something shocking that came from the first seed no one saw. Usually his plans revolved around the half breed princess. This was something interesting. The fifth seed tilted his head.
"You know it won't impress her." Platinum cooed. "You're not going to win her back with some little plan like this. Unless you end up killing the elders or something."
Garnet shrugged at the words. He cared not for what Platinum said. The fifth seed liked to provoke him and see the reaction. And the first seed knew this, yet Platinum was indeed good at his job. Whether he was insane or not, he did a good job at making seeds. The fifth seed however didn't tell others how he did it. It was something he didn't share.
"Platinum, whatever happens, look after Vanilla. I'm afraid her coming on this mission might get her harmed. Though..." He paused and shook his head. "Nevermind. I think once we reach Sol-Morwenna we will spilt up. I'll need you to--"
"Ugh, I already know the plan Garnet. No need to repeat it."
Platinum shook his head. Garnet was up to something and it involved the second seed and the princess. He didn't like where it was heading.

1678AY, 18 August Outside Sol-Morwenna Thursday, 10:00A.M.
Location: Inside the airship.
Garnet shook his head. Platinum was an idiot. He didn't realise the plans he was about to unfold. Yet he kept him along to help. Help sow the seeds that became a part that would wither and crush Athentha. Miach was the one to start all this, the scientist didn't know what he was unleashing that day.
The first seed stood as he sighed. Rubbing the temples of his forehead, the seed eyed the fifth seed. Platinum was an odd ball and he didn't see any worth from the man. He didn't trust him either.
"Are you planning to do that Garnet?" Platinum boldly asked then as he eyed the man before him. "Are you really going to bring forth a terrifying creature? Then what about protecting--"
"No need, not after what I accomplish in the desert. You see, I told those idiotic knights that I was going to find the shaman. But I'm not. That would infuriate our princess. And I'm not in the mood to upset someone I need. However..."
Garnet shook his head. He paused as he smiled. Yes, the two pieces he needed were gathering close. He had the apothecary and the princess would be in the desert. His plan would come together. Creating a monster the elders would really know. A creature to start over with. And he had the historia with him as well.
"Vanilla is going to hate me. I'm afraid she will be harmed in this plot. She's not going to like what is going to happen in Sol-Morwenna. You see the reason I brought her here is to combine her with the beast."
"Wait, you can fuse seeds like that?" Platinum asked as he stood there. "You're mad. Well, madder than me. It hadn't worked the last time we tried it, what makes you think it will now?"
"The Umbral Moon and Rin." Garnet said as he walked past Platinum. "You see, Athentha needs the elders, needs us, everyone. But it needs to be rebuilt. Rin is the key to that. But if the children and seeds can control her then Athentha can be built right."
Platinum scoffed. This wouldn't work, it couldn't. But he wanted to see how it played out. And so he wondered if they should go and look to see if the princess was on board. She had to be if she was heading to Sol-Morwenna.
Garnet said not another word as he exited the room. It would be another two hours before the airship landed. And so he went walking down the hallway as he knew exactly who to find.
---
Vanilla held the half breed up against the wall. Anger in her eyes as she looked at the mongrel. Why was she here? Why was she in the way of the seeds? Vanilla didn't know as Rin's alabaster hands grabbed onto the girl's own, no sign of fright or fear.
"Jealous?" Rin scoffed. "It has to be why you accosted me here in an airship hallway. "I don't see why. We are about to create something beautiful. Something terrifying to take them all down. If I'm a monster, then I'll show them how monstrous I can be. But I need you Vanilla."
"..."
Rin smirked as she pushed the second seed off her. Yet she didn't fight back, just made her let go. The half breed eyed the seed as if she didn't know what Garnet had been planning all this time. She crossed her arms against her chest then as Vanilla shook her head.
"He hasn't told you has he?" Rin asked before reaching into her bag and pulling out the letters. She handed them to the second seed then. "His plans of rebuilding the organization. You're involved. You're the vessel that will bring it forth."
"You're lying." Vanilla breathed. "Why would he cross us together?" She asked as she read the letters. Vanilla was confused. "I don't understand."
Rin looked at Vanilla then as she let her hands fall to her sides. "I'm guessing it has something to do with the Moon. Not entirely sure. Maybe he likes to mess with people's lives. But, it's not like we have a choice. Besides it's going to help the land."
Vanilla sighed. She still didn't understand what Garnet was planning. It didn't make sense. She read the letters over and over again. Schemetics of seeds and blood. Rin then leaned against the wall. The apothecary shook her head. This didn't feel right to her.
"Rin... They say that you are going to take the crown. That you're going to bring the islands into the dark ages. Is that true?"
"Are you blind like them too?" Rin sneered at the seed. "What I'm going to do will be grand. I'm going to fuse with a seed. And those pesky little knights will see the monster they claim me to be. You'll see in time fusing with me was the best idea."

Vanilla looked down at the papers again as Rin stood and came near the second seed. She was shocked to see that Garnet planned to abandon the seeds one by one to achieve something greater. Her alabaster hand grabbed the second seed by the collar of her shirt and threw her against the wall. She didn't let go of her, didn't allow her to move.
Vanilla was frightened.
Rin smirked the devil's smirk. The second seed was shaken by the throw yet at the same time knew she would have to fight for her existence, her life. The half breed wretched her forward as now their faces met, the cold crimson black orb of an eye piercing into the heterchroma orange and yellow eyes of the second seed.
"You continue to help the first seed yet you never questioned what he was planning? Never thought to ask why he kept you close? You're about to ascend to something greater and you're sniveling like a coward. I'll end you quickly. The pain painless."
"No!" Yelled Vanilla.
She pushed the half breed off her. Vanilla moved her arms as crystal like arrows came flying at the half breed. Rin smirked. She did like playing with her food. She used the oar to block the attack as she lowered the oar then, grinning madly at the girl. The apothecary shook her head. She fired the arrows again as they hit Rin's flesh, the smell of burning skin littered the air.
Rin approached again towards her meal. The oar beside her. Placed in her bag, she stood a foot from Vanilla as she slammed her hands together throwing them at the ground. As she used the energy unlocked now from within, the ground shook as a massive crystal arrow of flame rose. She then fired it at Vanilla.
Crying out in pain, the second seed rolled on to the ground a few feet away. Rin came as she picked the girl up from the attack. She smirked. The second seed didn't put up much of a fight. She lifted the collar of her shirt and pierced the flesh as she bit into the girl.
Vanilla screamed. And when Rin released the girl from her meal, she dropped the withered flesh of the seed. It was done. However, it hit her then as Rin fell to her knees in a sudden sharp pain. Her flesh burning as the two were fusing. Gripping the ground she growled low, the pain terrifying.
After an hour of change, her form, her mind and body, Rin stood as she chuckled. It had been done, she was now a seed. Her heart beat was slow, clogged with the thick black liquid that over took her. Looking up, her eye was now orange black. Licking her lips, she was hungry.
She was a seed. But not just any seed. She was the legend of the land, the Sunburst Seed. Sitting down on the ground she chuckled. Garnet's plan was ruined. On her left arm was a mark, a symbol, it was a seed and the Sunburst. She was no longer either Rin nor Vanilla but the combined form of the two. Her mind filling with the knowledge of the void and old magi.
Athentha would become great. She would twist the creatures of the land to become twisted beings of their former selves. And the children would become her servants. Though Garnet planned to use her, he would be mistaken she would be used. It would be him.
Standing, Rin shook her head. She would have to rename herself now that she had ascended. For now she walked to Val Roux. She would begin to build the darkness.
